I am a software developer trying to earn a living at creating software. I am currently investing a lot of time (and some money) into this project. Please help support this project when and where you can. Please keep in mind that all effort (including but not limited to software, documentation, and web development) that is incorporated into ArunaDB will become the property of ArunaDB.com and Seva Software. Please make sure you are willing to donate this effort before asking that it be integrated into the project. This project is free and any effort that is incorporated into this project must also be freely available. This only applies to software and documentation that are integrated into this project and does not apply to any add-on projects that you may create and distribute for ArunaDB or that use ArunaDB. Here are the ways that you can help this project:

Hire me. I have to earn a living. This project is consuming a lot of my time (and some of my money). I am currently working on this project full time. I only have enough resources to continue this effort for another 3 months when I will be forced to return to a normal job. I would love to find work that will allow me to continue to grow this project. I can work as a consultant, contractor, trainer, or direct hire. I am willing to work on short term or long term projects. I prefer to work from my home office. I am willing to travel one week per month. I prefer writing software in Ruby or C that involves a lot of database programming (preferably ArunaDB, PostgreSQL, or Oracle database programming). If you know of any organization(s) that could benefit from a Ruby, C, or database programmer, please put in a good word for me and let me know. No third party recruiters please. Donate money. I would value the ArunaDB Utilities at $99 per user, the ArunaDB Embedded Classes at $199 per user, and the ArunaDB Database Server at $499 per server. You can purchase licenses of ArunaDB if this helps with your accounting, this is not necessary because ArunaDB is free. Add new features. I intend to add client/server classes to ArunaDB, provide ANSI SQL support, and create DBD and ODBC drivers or ArunaDB. If you have any experience with any of these, you could help by either writing these modules or helping me get started by provided documentation and/or source code for other similar projects. If you work on any of these projects please read the paragraph above and make sure you are willing to donate this effort to this project.

Make any software that you create that uses ArunaDB available as freeware.

Translate the documentation and web pages into other languages.

Help fill out the documentation by create FAQs and user documentation. The documentation that I have provided is more of a reference guide. You could help make that documentation more friendly to the novice user.

Create additional test scripts to more thoroughly test the software.

Register the software and tell others about your success with ArunaDB. Of course, I could use some to create a web site that will allow others to register.

Report any issues via one of the mailing lists that you encounter with ArunaDB and get involved with fixing them. Invest a little extra time to create a simple example that will reproduce the bug and email the code it to bugs@arunadb.com. If you can provide me a simple example, I can usually fix the issue.
